Seek strength...

"Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always."
Psalm 105:4

You know what's so hard about sitting completely silently and waiting on the Lord to answer a question?  Everything!  "It's too quiet, there's stuff to do and my foot itches.  Plus, it's such a simple question, and I really need the answer quickly... surely He knows I have a show coming on soon that I cannot miss."  If that doesn't sound familiar to you at all, then I want to talk to you today so I can learn how you got past it all.

Put simply, we just don't have the strength to sit still and wait on Him and His timing.  We are motion-driven creatures, always looking for something to keep us occupied.  But what if we should be just sitting still for a few minutes each day, growing in our capacity to understand the moving of the Spirit and hearing the voice of the Lord in our hearts?  What if we are really supposed to sit there and resist the temptation to move and talk and think and play and daydream, and it all shows as a witness to ourselves that we are growing in our strength in the Lord?

In our new quest to see how the Spirit moves and wait on the Lord for leading and answers, take time today to focus on the strength you need to build and use to endure the time you spend quietly waiting on Him.  Praying is great, and we should always do that, and I'm certain you do... but if it is all you talking and never you listening, how can you ever hope to get an answer?  Build strength today, focus in silence on the Lord and His will and leading, and honor Him in doing so!

God bless you all!!!
