Waiting... just waiting...

"Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD."

Psalm 27:14

You know... there's a lot of things that I can say about waiting and having patience, but the best thing that I can ever tell you is to just to wait.  At the appropriate time, the Lord will come.  And at that time, all you need will be delivered. 

Please make note, though, that all you need is NOT the same thing as all you WANT.  God already knows what you need, and when the time is right, He will bring it to you.  He will do this in His time, because (and this one is important) sometimes we need to become more dependent on Him.  And sometimes that means we need to have things move a little more slowly than we would like.  And sometimes, as things begin to slow down, we become increasingly more aware of the gentle breeze that blows across as God speaks truth into us through the Spirit.  It is in those moments that we come closer than ever to the Lord, as we recognize that He is always closest to us when it is hardest to stand.

Fear not, blessed ones, for He is near, even when you don't think so.  Never forget that He is faithful, and He will not let His righteous fall.  And give thanks today and every other day from now on that we have the privilege to wait on the Lord.  We will grow stronger, and we will get closer to Him, and He will deliver in His time... and as we move forward, we will honor the Lord in doing so!
