"My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and power, so that your faith might not be based on men's wisdom but on God's power."
1 Corinthians 2:4-5
Paul speaks to the church in Corinth about where their faith should be based, and he speaks to us today about the same thing. So many people are falling away to the many differing "truths" that are coming from all kinds of people who claim that there are many ways to achieve salvation and eternal peace.
Let me be exceedingly clear on this point: there is only ONE way, and it is through Christ.
But Paul speaks about the truth of our need to be not in men, but in God and His power. And if our faith is in this place, as it should be, then it should only grow and grow as God is always ready for our growth. He is infinitely bigger than we can imagine or understand! In Him and in Him alone is where our faith should be placed.
Take a moment today to think about where your faith is placed, and whether you fall into the trappings of the "wisdom" of men. It happens to all of us... it has happened to me on occasion. It is not something to be ashamed of, but rather somethign to learn from. Expand your understanding of God, friends, and then see what wisdom truly is, and honor the Lord in doing so!
God bless you all!!!
