Show It

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
1 John 4:9

God showed us His amazing love by sending Christ to die for us. Now, as believers, we live through Him in total victory, washed by His blood. We have no need to fear, but every reason to remain vigilant to the very end.

However, husbands and wives, this does not excuse us from showing that same love to our spouses. I have a close friend who often says that our level of comfort or discomfort with prayer, reading, or any other Christian discipline is irrelevant, because Jesus hung naked, bleeding on a cross and died for us. Follow this example and realize that if God loved us enough to send Jesus to die for us, it doesn't hurt us to take a moment and express our love for our spouses.

Take at least one intentional moment today to reach out to your spouse and tell them how much they matter. You might be surprised at just how enormously impactful the smallest things can be!
